About Playmat Nexus
Playmat Nexus is a marketplace for premium TCG playmats designed by independent artists, launched in 2026. Every sale pays the artist a 15% royalty.
What makes us different
TCG-specific
We exist for the trading card game community. Every size, edge option, and design decision is made with TCG players in mind — not generic desk mats.
Artist marketplace
Artists earn 15% of the gross sale price on every mat sold featuring their design. No listing fees, no monthly charges. We handle printing, shipping, and customer support.
Premium materials
Soft polyester top surface for smooth card handling with a 1/8" natural rubber non-slip base. Available with seamless or stitched edges. The same construction used for high-end desk mats.
Made to order
Each playmat is printed when you place your order — no overstock, no mass production runs, no compromise on print quality to hit a price point.
For buyers
Browse original designs across fantasy, sci-fi, abstract, and game-specific art styles. Choose your size — Standard (24" × 14"), XL (35" × 16"), or XXL (40" × 20") — and optionally add a $5 playzone overlay showing card zones for MTG, Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and more. Production takes 5–7 business days; shipping adds 3–7 days. We ship to the US and internationally.
Because every mat is made to order, we accept returns only for items that arrive damaged or with a print quality defect. If your mat arrives in poor condition, contact us and we will make it right.
For artists
Artists earn 15% of the gross sale price on every playmat sold featuring their design. On a $34.99 standard mat, that is $5.25 per sale. Earnings accumulate as orders are fulfilled and are paid out once your balance reaches $20. You retain full ownership of your artwork and are not required to give Playmat Nexus exclusivity — you can sell the same design anywhere you choose.
To apply, submit your portfolio via the artist application form. We review all applications manually. Accepted artists upload designs through the artist dashboard; each submission goes through a brief review before going live.
