Buyer Questions
What sizes do playmats come in?
Three sizes: Standard (24" × 14"), XL (35" × 16"), and XXL (40" × 20"). All sizes are available with seamless or stitched edges.
What materials are the playmats made from?
Soft polyester top surface for smooth card handling, with a 1/8" natural rubber non-slip base. Available with seamless or stitched edges — stitched edges hold their shape longer with heavy use. The same construction is used for premium desk mats.
How do I order a playmat with a custom design?
Use the custom playmat creator. Upload your own image, choose your size and edge style, and order a one-off mat printed just for you.
What file formats and resolutions do you accept for uploads?
PNG files in RGB color mode. Minimum resolution: 4960 × 2988 px for Standard, 8268 × 3848 px for XL, and 8858 × 4550 px for XXL. Maximum file size is 200 MB. See the Artist Upload Guide for full specs.
How long does production and shipping take?
Each mat is printed when you order. Production takes 5–7 business days. Standard shipping adds 3–7 days on top of that. Express options may be available at checkout depending on your location.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. We ship to the US and internationally. Shipping rates and estimated delivery times are calculated at checkout based on your address.
What is your return and refund policy?
Because each mat is made to order, we accept returns only for items that arrive damaged or with a print quality defect. If your mat arrives in poor condition, contact us with a photo and we will replace it or issue a refund. Change-of-mind returns are not accepted.
Is there a minimum order quantity?
No minimum. You can order a single mat.
Are the designs on Playmat Nexus officially licensed?
No. All designs are original artwork created by independent artists. Artists are responsible for ensuring their submissions do not infringe on third-party intellectual property. Playmat Nexus is not affiliated with or licensed by any TCG publisher.
Artist & Designer Questions
How do I submit a design for sale on Playmat Nexus?
Apply through the artist application form at playmatnexus.com/artists/apply. We review all applications manually. Once accepted, you upload designs through your artist dashboard.
What percentage do artists earn per sale, and how is it calculated?
Artists earn 15% of the gross sale price on every playmat sold featuring their design. On a $34.99 Standard playmat that is $5.25 per sale. The percentage is applied to the listed price before any promotions.
How and when do I get paid?
Earnings accumulate as orders are fulfilled. Payouts are processed on a rolling basis once your balance reaches $20 — we will contact you when your balance is ready. Payments are made via PayPal.
Do I retain the rights to my artwork?
Yes. You retain full ownership and copyright of your artwork. You give Playmat Nexus the right to print and sell your design on playmats, but you still own your designs.
What are the design submission requirements?
PNG format, RGB color mode. Minimum resolution: 4960 × 2988 px (Standard), 8268 × 3848 px (XL), or 8858 × 4550 px (XXL). No watermarks on the main artwork. Title-safe area: 3 cm from the design edge. Max file size: 200 MB. See the Artist Upload Guide for the full checklist.
Can I sell a design I have already listed elsewhere?
Yes. Playmat Nexus does not require exclusivity. You can list and sell the same artwork on other platforms at the same time.
How do I track my sales and royalty earnings?
Once onboarded, your artist dashboard at playmatnexus.com/dashboard/earnings shows a full breakdown of sales, per-design earnings, and your accumulated payout balance.
Is there a review process before my design goes live?
Yes. Each design submission goes through a brief manual review to check file quality and content guidelines before it is published to the store. We aim to complete reviews within a few business days.
